Hendrick loves to add $1,000++ for worthless things like tint, nitro, door edge guards and other crap. I live in HHI and have never been able to make a deal at BMW HH. I like BMW of Macon, GA. Easy to deal/negotiate with. I was able to get 6% dealer discount on a M60i order last July. Call Omar Saleh, Sales Mgr.

+1 on going to century BMW in Greenville SC. They will make deals happen and have allocations on hand if you choose to order one or they are willing to offer very reasonable discounts for cars on the lot. Just need to ask for 8% off or pay MSRP but there is zero dealer adds. No games just straight forward pricing. JOSH was awesome to deal with down there. Bigger discounts in person then calling ahead.

Hendrick will play ball on cutting their dealer adds by 75% but require full msrp. Back in December they were 50% off for “Hendrick warranties”…

Century in Greenville treated me like a PoS, making comments like " can you really afford an X6M? ", and "do you really need this and that?". Well, 3 months later I showed up for the 1000mi service and I showed Victoria my M from Atlanta, paid in full. 😒

Just use a broker and do factory pickup. I did that in February, was great. Can order from a dealer anywhere without worrying about shipping.

I've received quotes from Hendrick before and you are right about the add-ons. Last time I tried using them, they had $2k of add ons on an M3 which was basically tint and ceramic coating.

Shoot for 7-8% off before rebates
buy rate on a 25 is .0021 for lease or 5.29% for 60 months on finance

I have lived in Charlotte for almost 20 years. I have bought countless cars over the years and NEVER purchase a car in the Charlotte area. You basically have two autogroups that have a monopoly over the area. Hendrick has never once really wanted to deal. In fact, Hendrick tried to rip me off when I bought out my X3 m40i from a lease. Who does that? It's about as straight forward of a transaction that you can get. Also note each dealership and their associated autogroup. Many dealerships in the carolina are actually the same. So they will know all the numbers already offered to you.

I had good success with BMW of Columbia and BMW of West St Louis (picked up the car at the factory, so didn't matter to me where I ordered it from). My latest BMW came from Athens BMW in Georgia. It was only a 3.5 hour drive to pick my X5 up and we even passed the BMW Performance Center on the way home. They actually gave me a great deal after 24 hours of negotiation. They will deliver to your house if you go through their financing. I went through my credit union so they asked me to pick it up in person since I was using a third party check. Ask for Dakota at Athens.

I live in the Charlotte area. The local choices are both Hendrick Dealers. I tried to buy from Hendrick but the salesman jerked me around and was trying to cram me into a car off the lot even though none of the lot cars had the features I wanted.

I ended up buying from Valley Auto World BMW in Fayetteville NC. They were easy to work with and helped me get a car with the features I wanted.

I may have just gotten a bad salesman, but Hendrick is known locally for refusing to negotiate off list price.

I called the Columbia dealer, but when they found out I was looking for a car that Hendrick did not have, they would not talk to me further.

Living in Charlotte, you have a lot of good options.

For one thing, you can use an auto broker, as others have mentioned.

For another thing, you can negotiate with any dealer in the US and arrange for delivery at the Performance Center in Greenville. That is an easy drive from Charlotte.

I have been going to Hendrick in Charlotte for Service, and they generally do a good job.
