the older cars running ID8 will be codeable until they move the modules to secure coding 2.0. that can happen with either an OTA or a dealer update. once they do, you wont be able to code the module. it happened with the IX, updates have locked out almost all of the modules.

Got a Carly on my G05 and not much you can code. Hi Can you please share your findings with Carly I've bought the Bimmercode and think might be a waste of money unless they get it working. Coding with Carly can you - turn off disclaimer when you start the car? - turn off the GONG GOING when you turn the car on? - activate side puddle lamps when in reverse gear? Think these are all my NEED list, unsure what the other things are for WANT list :-) |

Hi,
I realized that BimmerCode removed from their website X5 LCI as none supported version. Since I am considering of buying LCI and not currently have one, can anyone confirm successfully coding and disabling Auto Start/Stop on 2024 models? |

As far as we have seen it is not possible to code the LCI's with any coding tool. BMW has moved to secure coding that requires server authentication.

The CAFD has been available for the RAM ECU since BMW didn't move that to Coding 2.0. Here is some information on it: https://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/s....php?t=1965217

Does this mean VO coding via E Sys is also not possible on the LCI X5? if the CAFDs are not available either?

That is correct, BNW moved to Secure Coding 2.0 so CAFDs are not being distributed but rather on BMW's servers.

Wait, you weren’t joking? Well, the fact that BMW intentionally took away the button to disable it and are doing everything they can to lock people out of coding, tells us what their response will be. If you still don’t get it, maybe try to ask them and let us know how it goes. 😜 |

No, any coding requires server involvement.
