For me, they are all important at this price point. You paying for a premium/luxury vehicle and should be able to choose all technology, luxury and (even) gimmicky features or else you save money and go with a Hyundai, Ford etc.

IMO all the options available on 45E except wireless charging are worth it.
I had mine basically fully loaded except wireless charging and alcantara headliner, and I really wished to have opted the alcantara headliner. The default one just makes it look like it's a $30k car. DAP - must have nowadays PAP - for 360 parking video M-Sport/black-out/red calipers - For the looks Executive - For the laser light and HUD Climate - For Executive Luxury - I just want massaging seats for this car lol If I have to let some options go, it will be the latter 4. Can't stand a premium car that does not have ACC and 360. |

I am kicking myself I didn’t get the alcantara too! I’m new to BMW and thought the headliner in the M Sport package was the alcantara but it is just the base anthracite. Has anyone changed it out after taking delivery? Seems like a waste, but I am a big fan…

It's great for what it does, don't expect it to be 18W fast charging, though. |

So, it shouldnt go unsaid that BMW has given us a bunch of options because theyre exactly that... options... and that implies each will be important to a few of us. Very subjective. That said...
I wouldnt have bought the car without: M-Sport Largest wheels I could get (21" on 45e) Merino Leather (my goodness the car smells wonderful) M brakes Really pleasant surprises: Multi-contour seats (had to get i order to get Merino, but man are they comfortable) HUD Harmon Kardon Glad I passed: Wireless charging Cooled seats Didnt rise to my needs: DAP PAP (the stock sensors and video are more than sufficient for me) Interesting but...: Sky Lounge (part of exec package, required for Merino, very cool at night but not sure I would have sought this out for significant price) And Last, choices I made that I am happy about now: Passed on factory hitch, getting Stealth Hitch to keep kick feature. Second guessed this, but turns out I Really like the kick feature and use it constantly, plus the rear bumper looks better without hitch. |

Were you able to get electronic control with the Stealth Hitch (ie, trailer braking)? I would go that way for my 45e, but my dad wasn't able to get a hitch installer that would integrate the Stealth Hitch with the wiring harness on his 45e . They will "clip" it in to the brake lights to get light control but that's it. Depending on what you use your hitch for that could be fine but I'd rather have trailer braking.

I mean, if you're concerned about pricing for car options then I have some very bad news for you on literally every other part of the car lol.

Agreed that PAP is crucial. I've never used the automatic parking feature, but the cameras are amazing, I use them all the time.
DAP: I don't think is worth it unless you want the automatic lane and distance keeping functionality. Automatic braking at city speeds and lane departure steering intervention are now standard without DAP. HUD is pretty nice too. Wireless charging seems to charge slow and make the phone really hot, so I never use it. |
