Installed Front Splitter on Xline

A couple of quick images to share that the splitter available for MSport fits XLine just fine. The curve is a bit less but with a bit of pressure it fits normally (especially considering that it cost $40 delivered on amazon, and I suspect is the exact same one as being sold at many times the cost by some known sellers).

I have still to vinyl the front skid plate but I think this image gives a better idea of how the splitter attaches with the skid plate not blacked out. Also the wheels are staggered (305) and installed generic running boards. Still working on mods and waiting for the weather to warm up a bit. Next will be shadowline on window surrounds.

Quick cell phone images (sorry the order got reversed while uploading :P )

Looks great! Which one did you buy and how did you attach it? Looking for something like this for a while.

I bought this one from Amazon (seems to be temporarily out of stock - you can email the seller to enquire)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWPSG4XW

It was listed for 39.99 and included installation hardware (screws and 2 large roles of double tape) - Installation was straight forward - not all predesigned holes lined up with the XLine bumper underside but drilling new holes underneath was easy. Entire install was done in under 60 mins working alone.

Looks great! Just clicked on the link you shared, but it’s bringing me to a different part that’s about 150.00.
Did you get it for 40.00 as part as an Amazon Prime sale, or any other promotion?
Thanks!

starlights I just bought the same thing prior to seeing your review on Amazon and seeing your thread post. Just got back from Aruba last night, so I’ll be installing mine tomorrow on my msport. I’ll upload pictures tomorrow for anyone that’s interested including the assembly process.

P.J.M It was $40, I can confirm, however is looks like they just updated it to $155… Maybe after Starlights review

PJM the listing was revised prior to my review and the price was updated to $150 or so. It must have been a price mistake earlier because I was suprised how or why would they sell it for such a low cost with free shipping. In fact when I placed my order I was certain that it would either be cancelled or really low quality. So since this was from Amazon I was prepared to return it or eat up the $40 to try it out and see if splitters would work on XLine.

As promised I will post more images soon - I have been under the weather for the last week.

It looks awesome! I think if you removed the grey bottom trim piece, it would've looked even better.

Well I just bought the one in carbon fiber look and looks amazing! Thank you starlights I was hopeless until I saw your post..
I bought my x5 2 weeks ago and for now I did
Front bumper carbon lip
Carbon Side vent
Carbon rear window spoiler
Carbon trunk spoiler
Black wrap the silver on front and rear bumper
20% tint all around and 40% windshield

Next step
H&R Lowered spring
Upgrade sound system
Downpipe
Bm3 tune

Finished the install last week, can say it was was fairly straight forward, however the center lower piece when bolted to the remaining spoiler had a little too much bow in the plastic for my taste. So I spaced it out using plastic spacers from a TV wall mount kit I had. Also I’d recommend purchasing this kit from Amazon to further secure everything rather then using the self tapping screws provided (GOOACC 70PCS Engine Under Cover Splash Shield Guard Body Bolts).

Looks amazing! If you use longer screws for the bottom piece (on the sides) with some spacers then you can have that straight (now bowing up from the sides).

I like your rear bumper!

Looks great! I did the same with my lower piece as well to keep it straight. What a steal for the price! Enjoy!
