In both models, the S68 engine produces 523 hp and peak torque of 553 lb-ft. It propels the new X5 M60i xDrive and new X6 M60i xDrive from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds in preliminary testing.

So this is the same power we have now. But with a S63 with is far more tunable than our N63TU or whatever the F its called.

This is more than an LCI. Its like a LCI plus. A lot of changes. Shit....Not worth getting a X5M anymore. You get the same exhaust, same motor....But. softer ride. I heard X5M is difficult on road trips compared to M50I. Come one BMW...put the builder online so I know how much money I have to print. Prob 107k loaded for a M60. My MSRP was 100k. So at time of release, my truck worth 70k on a trade. (its paid for). So I would pay $40k-ish including tax for a new one. And My truck I got in 12/21. So 40k over a year and a half. UGH

Also need to know if I can get DHP with the hitch. For 22 I did. 23 they made it not possible.

I'm not fond of the headlights, that is for sure.

Also: "Elegant, tech-forward interior featuring iDrive 8 and the BMW Curved Display.". I'd beg to differ that it's elegant. Minimalistic yes, but not elegant.

As for pricing, that jumped the shark last year.

I bought a brand new 2021 X6 40i in the summer of 2021 and got it for $97k Canadian before tax. It was fully loaded except no air suspension and no bowers audio. Fast forward 18 months and to buy the same X6 now is going to cost over $120k Canadian before tax. Interest rates are doubled now too at 7% or more.

Not a significant departure from the current generation. Will sell and sell well. But the prices are beginning to approach questionable territory.

Feels to me that every time they update the x5 the car gets less aggressive looking. To me the 2017 model was at its peak design but the interior of it looks quite dated so I’m not sure which car to go for next (was planning to switch from the ix3 to the x5)

The third has the Cornering Light and blue elements like the pre-LCI Laser Lights. The third picture came from the BMWUSA website.
If it is similar to 3er LCI, then most likely the three headlights you have mentioned are:
  • First: base LED
  • Second: upgraded LED with Shadowline Headlights option
  • Third: upgraded LED without Shadowline Headlights option

Also, big price hike on the 50e compared to outgoing 45e (not too surprising given upgrades but still). Will require you to limit options to qualify for federal tax credit.
Is there a 150K / 300K income limit? I would guess mass majority of buyers earn more than 150K / 300K.

I have a M50i arriving in UK in April, was concerned as to whether I should have waited for M60i but happy now. Only thing on new one I would like is 48volt battery but happy to do without that to have buttons. Also don't have to pay the new price and wouldn't have got the 12.7% discount I received on M50i.

I wonder if the M badge fitted to the front grill of the M60i can be fitted to the M50i

This. I dont like that grin at all.
The tail lights look nice, but otherwise I'm happy to stick with my G05!!

I also dont like the 'single' screen interior - how the dash screen is connected to the center console screen. I like how they are separated in my G05.....

Pretty sure that the x50e will qualify for the full US tax credit of $7500. Just something to note since the current version does.

It is not expected too meet either of the new battery requirements so it wouldn't be eligible for the credit.

Thanks for the congrats. According to the stats that is not the case. Average household income of BMW buyers was in the $120k's a few years ago. 7 Series buyers was "only" $184k.

Unless you have a business and it will be a company vehicle., I think the full credit should apply in 2023.

Looks like the most important option from a driving/handling perspective - the Dynamic Handling Package with the active anti-roll bars is gone for the LCI. No mention of it, just the adaptive dampers and dual-axle air suspension.

Shame as this is what makes these SUVs really drive like a BMW should. I wonder if it will still be available on the X5M LCI.
