white interior
I love the look, about to order an X5 in Brooklyn grey.. if you have white interior, are you happy? Or do you regret it? Stains, dye transfer from clothes, etc.
if not will do black. Thanks! |

We went with Ivory White / Black Extended Merino Leather - the first time we've not had black and we are really pleased with how much brighter and up-market it makes the interior feel. Sure, it does show the marks but so does black to a certain extent. If you are serious about keeping your car clean then a wipe over and occasional use of the appropriate cleaner etc. will keep it looking really cool. We went for Carbon Black exterior and the contrast is excellent.

I used to have Oyster and it was a real pain in the butt to keep clean. Oyster with blue jeans just didn’t play together well. Granted, I loved the look of it. I wonder if Ivory will share similar downsides of Oyster?? It does look good in the online configurator though.
It looks like the Ivory leather in the new X5 is closer to cream than white to my eyes which is probably good for concealing dirt and wear but not sure about the aesthetics. I’ll have to see it in person first. In general, in my opinion, white is sharp, clean and classy where as sometimes cream can look a bit old fashion/yellowish. Reserving judgment until I spend some time in the cabin of a X5 with Ivory.

I just sold a 3 year old Cayenne with "Chalk" leather and it still looks great. Use a leather cleaner and conditioner every 90 days or so and it'll stay clean

Thanks! Any chance you can post a pic? Which interior trim did you get?

I have carbon fiber trim, which I think goes great with the Silverstone. Here’s how it looks!

FWIW, I test drove a M50i with silverstone sensafin. While it looks great, I did not like the feel (hard) and it seemed to have an odd odor. Of note is that it's a loaner with 3500 miles and sits in the sun all day. Of course, the subject of leather v sensafin has been debated at length here.

Another vote for Silverstone with the BG. Per another discussion, while I’m still unsure if I love our BG (most of the time I do), Silverstone was the right combo in our view and we are glad we went that direction.
We did the black wood interior. I really like it with the Silverstone. Don’t think a brown would have gone well, even though I prefer the look of open pore over the gloss that you have to do with the black. |

I'm copiously enjoying the ivory Merino interior and feel it exudes luxury. I wear very few jeans and haven't really experienced any of the die transfer except for once, and was able to clean it using lexan cleaner. I've had either gray or black interior on all of my vehicles and I'm glad that I went with this ivory color due to how much it brightened the interior atmosphere. I have two kids, five and seven, and haven't experienced any staining or other damage (my girls can be very messy).

I, too, am enjoying the ivory merino. It’s definitely one of the nicest leather interiors I have ever owned. I used to have an Audi SQ8, and I find the merino superior to Audi’s leather. I have the carbon fiber trim. Having said all that, I did test drive a vehicle with the silverstone sensafin, and I was quite impressed with that, too.

Ivory with Night Blue. Now offered in Ivory with Atlas Grey instead on X5M. Love the Ivory. I have had very minor dye transfer from dark jeans in 2500 miles but I use ColourLock leather care kit with strong cleaner and shield. It wipes right off with their sponge. No scrubbing required. The only place I have noticed it is along the driver, left leg bolster which are SUPER stiff in the X5M which probably contributes. Only had to clean it one time recently.
