Bluetooth Issue

Took delivery of a 50e last weekend and loving it so far, still getting familiar with all the tech.

Having some issues with Bluetooth connection, every time I get in the car get an error as per the picture and can only connect my phone via Mobile Devices then all is ok.

Effecting digital key too making it obsolete

Any ideas?

Yea, i've just started to get this issue too after 3 weeks of OK with 07/2023.33 and iPhone 14 and iOS17 Really weird how it was OK and now just started to get this.

Mine doesnt seem to be effecting digital key though from what i can tell.

Resetting iDrive (holding the power/volume button down until it restarts) fixes this. But it doesn't seem to fix it permanently. I tend to have to do this on a fairly regular basis (iPhone Pro 13). Digital key works consistently for me.

I’m getting that message periodically too with an iPhone 12 running iOS 17. It tends to go away with a restart and disconnects randomly. Annoying. Today my phone rang, it was not in CarPlay and running native idrive. Nothing displayed on idrive screen. I answered from the phone itself and eventually it connected to Bluetooth and I got sound and mic from the car but nothing displayed on the idrive screen. My idrive is running 8.5 v7/2023.33. Definite bugs in software I assume.

I got this with a xiaomi phone when I first got the 50e. Had to replace the phone with a Samsung S23 Ultra and no issues since

As mentioned already definitely a bug in 07/2023.33 given my Pixel 7 Pro and the wife's 6 Pro work flawlessly on 03/2023.45. Still holding off on an iD8.5 upgrade as not sure I want the new layout and of course the initial bugs.
