2020 x5 pcd 10/3/19
I just returned home from my Performance Center Delivery and wanted to share some pics. This was my fourth PCD and my previous one took place in November 2013 to pick up my F15 X5. Here's the link to my post from that trip: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=910424
Once again, this was a terrific experience. I believe this is the best way to take delivery of a vehicle. If you have the time, it's definitely worth your while. Here's the X5 I just picked up: 2020 BMW X5 xDrive40i Phytonic Blue Metallic Black Extended Merino Anthracite Brown Wood Trim M Sport Package Executive Package Luxury Seating Package Drivers Assistance Pro Package M Sport Brakes Integral Active Steering Air Suspension Glass Controls Front and Rear Heated Seats Heated Steering Wheel and Armrests Harman Kardon Sound Extended Shadowline Trim Acoustic Glass Space Saver Spare Tire |

Here are some photos from the track experience. We did emergency braking, autocross, skidpad, and a hot lap with the instructor. I drove the Sandstone X5 while the other group doing PCD had the silver X3 M40i.

The factory tour was very cool. We saw the X3s and X4s being built. One entertaining tidbit: The employee cafeteria in the assembly hall is called "The Kidney Grille".
I spent a few minutes in the Zentrum Museum. Here are some pics, including an X5 similar to mine and a new X6 M50i. The X6 looked pretty good. It looks better in person than in the pictures, but I still prefer the X5. |

On my way back home, I drove the through the Pisgah forest to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.

Looks nice - I'm picking up the same color combo in a few weeks. Despite not always liking black interiors, I think the extended or full merino in black looks extremely high end in the X5.
