Good news, this afternoon I received the update through the app that fixes the ambient air package.

Tonight I got a message 2023/11 is waiting as an OTA update. I got today also an appointment at the dealer to upgrade to 2024/04

Should I install the OTA update or wait for 2024/04 at the dealer?

I would install it and then see if the dealer will install the next version. It is 03/2024 not 04.

I don’t want to be at the dealer to hear they won’t update because I installed the 11/2023 OTA update.

A few weeks ago I was at the dealer to install the recall brake parts just to hear they don’t have the parts. Even I had made an appointment for it. So I don’t want to be there for nothing a second time.

If they have offered to install the latest version let them do it, I'm sure it will include all the updates from the previous version as well.

But you also don't won't to go there and have them not install it because the OTA is waiting. I would contact them and ask them what you should do. Likely will be do the OTA and we won't do anything.

Yes I was also thinking that. But will I miss out on new features for some months when I do a 2023/11 OTA and no 2024/03 update at the dealer?

Without a doubt you will miss stuff if you don't get 03/2024. I haven't; seen any info on the release but I'm sure there is something in it that would apply to yours.

So I ‘ll better go to the dealer in 2 weeks for 03/2024 and skip the 11/2023 OTA?

I’m that kind of person that regularly checks all his devices for a firmware upgrade

If you think they may not install 03/2024 if you have installed 11/2023 then you should probably skip it so you know you have the latest.

Of course you could also look at it as if you had the OTA last month then you wouldn't be getting 03/2024 until Summer or so when the next OTA is released.

Got offered the 11/2023 OTA this morning so did the update right away. Ambient air and the ioniser are now working! Bit irritated this could have been done at the dealer at the end of last year, will be taking it up with them.

Also seems to suggest the car will stop for red traffic lights now when using driving assistance, we’ll see!

Yes, I really don't understand this. Was at the dealer 2 weeks ago for the recall. Asked again after the ambient air fix and they said they expected the fix in April or perhaps May. So they didn't know the fix was already out for months? Even when I asked that it would be an OTA update they said the car would need an update at the dealer.

When I told them a few days ago the fix was already in 11/2023 they gave me an appointment to get the latest software update. But yesterday the BMW app told me there was a 11/2023 update waiting.

I also received the 11/2023 update yesterday, I assume it is an update produced in November 2023 so why does it take so long for us to receive it?.

Like mentioned before, the 11.2023 OTA update didn't finish correctly which resulted in the connected services no longer working. Passed by the dealership this morning and they updated it to 03.2024. Everything is working fine again. Also the ambient air package and the ionizer.

Why if 03/2024 is available are we now being sent 11/2023, BMW need to sort out their over the air updates.

I really can't say that ambient air works with 11/2023.73. I can't smell anything and everything is on, level 3 with 100% cartridges.

The only thing this update did was break the connection with connected drive. But apparently a known issue with this release. Just wait for the fix...

Same for me, was hoping to get the parfum working but on my 50e stil doesnt work.

Connected Drive still works for me.

You can go to the dealer and ask to update the software and then you gen 03.2024 and the ambient air package works :-)
