Not sure what happened, but I noticed my traffic camera warnings not working, at all. I usually fight with it when it switches between the HUD and instrument cluster, but it's not coming at all.

I verified that it's active in the APPs.

I'm on 7/20 I think.

Any ideas?

just noticed mine this morning (Traffic Camera in the U.S.)! I've reset iDrive and even disabled/re-enabled the checkbox on the app itself (which is current). i also updated all apps via OPTIONS on the APPS tab. seems a lot of app bugs going on around the new 03/2021 update even though we're not on it. I'm on 11/2020.64.

I plan to send an email to BMW Connected.

Since for me, the traffic camera app never operated like BMW advertised, I got a refund for it.

Tested and working fine for me in NY and PA; I did have the 03/2021.50 update 2 weeks ago.

Frenetic when i drove past the cameras after work, i didn't get any warnings. i then removed and re-added my driver profile, and the traffic light camera warnings work again. (some of my settings did reset: data privacy, sound, steering wheel feedback, interior LED, seat/mirror memory, 1-8 assignable buttons)

still no reply from BMW Connected... i'm not going to sweat it now that it works again.

I’m not about to lose my seat settings.

It took me months to get a position to make that rock they call a seat comfortable. Even a microscopic move away from the current position would be noticeable and extremely annoying to me since this car is so uncomfortable from not only the seats, but the gas pedal position as well.

Forget it; if they can’t fix it without me logging out, then they are incompetent nitwits.

let me clarify: the seat memory buttons are reset, not the seat position itself which remains as is when deleting and re-adding your profile. once you're logged back in, save the seat position (which hasn't moved) to memory.

I’m still not going to do it…I shouldn’t have to, and losing that seat position would infuriate me. They broke it without me logging out, let them fix it under the same circumstances.

Well I got an email response. Although they mentioned Real-Time Traffic, I can only assume that the Traffic Camera Warning is associated with the same outage.

Considering the impact is limited and not nationwide, the reason to the outage is anyone's guess.

Thanks, removing and re-adding my driver profile also fixed my issue of not getting the warnings in my HUD.

Agreed on 1. Pretty sure it's jail time in VA, or at least some nasty fines down in that area.

Escort Redline 360c (and probably some others in their line) do have red light traffic signal alerts when connected to your phone via Bluetooth. There is some sort of timed subscription associated with it, though.

Uniden R7 pretty much has everything, but of course I use it where it's legal

It all eventually started working again, without having to log out or reset anything. It was definitely on BMW’s end that was causing this issue.

It’s unfortunate BMW couldn’t pre-emptively notify those affected instead instead of us trying to troubleshoot this ourselves.

Anyone else currently having problems with their speed camera alerts? My subscription is good until February. I rebooted i-drive and still nothing. When I checked connected drive yesterday, there was a terms and conditions nonsense I had to sign, I thought maybe that caused the stop, but it's still not working.

I called BMW Genius and they said it's their issue, they have outages all over and are working on it.

apparently, the issue also expands on Spotify and RTTI which all seemed to stop working at the same time late Friday 11/10
