Call me obtuse: I'm not seeing how a $3,500 option equates to an additional $100 a month, assuming it's a 36-month lease in this instance?

I get the money factor - yes, but shouldn't the added increase for the B&W be residualized? An additional $60, not $100?

you won't really notice it unless you listen to both in a high end shop where they have the system hooked up to the same amps and switch between both with a button and go back and forth to appreciate the difference.

Though I am sort of audiophile enthusiast , and I love shopping for high end speakers, so from listening to any , they sound initially awesome, but as soon as you start switching between AMPs/speakers you realize WTH there is HUGE difference between one to another (based on even the song, metal/jazz/pop/trance/etc...). I really can't describe it, though I went for B&W cause I trust the brand no more/less and as some mentioned the price difference is somehow negligible to argue about it! in my old days when upgrading to my own speakers/amps I use to spend >5K!

I had HK on my G05. In comparison, I would state that I like the depth in B&W. Most likely due to the additional speakers in the cabin.

The fact that all of the speakers lights up alone was worth it to me. It really adds to the wow factor at night.

It wasn't necessary for me. I had B&O in my M6 and got the B&W on my B7. While the aesthetics were nice, the sound was not a huge step up from the HK setup I currently have on my X6M. I don't custom order my cars and even if I did, a high-end sound system is not high on my list. I certainly will not want the base stereo but somewhere in the middle is fine for me. I'd rather invest in an at-home high-end stereo system.

major upgrade over HK system and a must have in the F95/96. the base and HK systems are really poor systems IMHO.

once you adjust the EQ, this system is very good. there are better systems out there for sure, but this is a good system for the price.good bass, surround sound and volume.

the light up speakers, metal speaker housings and overall depth of sound is definitely worth the $3500. you'll regret it if you don't!

I have the HiFi system in my G05, couldn't get the HK due to the chip shortage, and B&W wasn't an option on my build. I've since installed an amplifier (which is marvelous) to solve one of the problems @ $1300, now looking at speakers in the $500-$1000 range. Post-speakers, I'm already in the $2300-$3000 range depending on how much I DIY. Professional install is easily in the $3k-$4k range. So if the choice is B&W or HiFi, B&W @ $3300 is a steal in IMHO.

No, its not worth it. People that say it is are either sound snobs or trying to justify buying an option that wasn't worth it.

I have the unique benefit of having had the HK system in my '21 X6 40i and now have the B&W Diamond system in my X6MC and I can 100% attest that they sound the same.

The BW system has more sound options like concert, 3-d, blah blah blah. I promise you, unless you are listening to super high quality files from your phone or USB that it sounds the same.

If you want the aesthetic of having the light up speakers and speaker grills in your headliner then go for it. For every day sound like listening to XM radio, it sounds the absolute same.

On average, $1000 is around $27 for a 36 month lease with a good MF.

So $3500 is like $95

Sounds like for audiophiles (aka sound snobs) it's worth it. Not keen on the disco light stuff but not gonna knock those who value it. I'm in.

Worth it especially with high quality audio sources. As an aside, had the b&o on my 2018 x6m and that system was on par with HK and to me, had no decipherable "upgrade" on sound quality. This b&w is a major upgrade compared to the b&o system and for sure the HK imo.

When I use my b&w system I don't think "man I could have saved $3500" I'm always thinking "fuck yes this thing just rocks".

Amazon Music. Make sure you play using Carplay or Android Auto. Do not use BT.

I have never once regretted or had a second thought about the Bowers system. when I get a loaner for service, I often get X5 OR X7 with base or HK systems. I cannot wait to get back to my ride

I listen to XM, Spotify, Tidal and Pandora all thru Android Auto and I'm totally happy with the sound. the speaker lights also just add to the interior at night. nothing tacky about them.
