Are there any DIY videos or instructions for pad replacements on these cars?

It is pretty straight forward.
The rear gets complicated when you are super low on the old pad.

Here is the video that I found on how to do the rear.

Do these new pads have any impact of the typical life of the rotors? This will address the two largest complaints I have about the X5M, brake dust and squeal. Thanks

No, same amount of rotor life based on my testing on my F97 X3MC.

Got mine installed. Bite is real nice and feels like it stops quicker than before. Will post pics of dust in a couple days.

Update:
Ive had my IS1500 pads installed for over 3 weeks now without washing my car as a test.
The brake dust is near non - existent and the brakes feel just like stock.
Thank God no more brake dust.
Thanks Ben for bringing these pads to market.

For the rear pad swap, did you replace the caliper bolts or re-use the existing bolts with a little locktite blue?? I'll replace both wear sensors. Received my IS2000 Fronts & rears from Ben yesterday so will probably do the replacement when I switch over tires to summers in a week or so if weather holds. i assume the small square brown packet that came with them is ceramic silicon grease similar to permatex 24127 ceramic silicon? Other thing to note is no counterweight on these like the factory pads.

You can re-use the bolt just put a dab of blue locktite.

Yes, the brown packet is the brake pad grease, not free Nutella from me.

Counterweight it not required.
I notice that BMW stock pads doesn't always comes with it.
It is normally used to reduce brake noise.

Just had the medium compound installed yesterday. Absolutely silent. If there’s no dust, that’s gravy.

I didn't replace any of my bolts or wear sensors. All is good. Just need to make sure you turn back the ebrake.

How did you turn back the ebrake? Obd scanner/bimmerlink, caliper tool or did you take apart the actuator motor and wind back? Do you recall the size of the 2 front caliper bolts you removed to take off caliper? Mine looks like a torx bolt, round with torx fitting. These are the round bolts that the caliper bolts to the bracket in the inner side of the caliper ,they face front on caliper

I think I used the 8mm hex bit socket for the front caliper bolts.
I didn't end up turning back the ebrake and bc of that I got a bunch of malfunction lights. I took it to the dealer and they took care of it for me. I've heard bimmerlink works well.

Installed my pads yesterday. Used Bimmerlink brake feature to turn back EPB. Looking forward less brake dust. Shout out to Ben for making these pads available and for the outstanding customer service he provided with a few questions I had
