I really like the frozen paint but what a nightmare if you get a scratch. Better to just get gloss and then PPF with the frozen effect.

This one happens to be just that. It’s a PPF matte wrap over the gloss paint. And standard (gloss) PPF over the shiny black plastic stuff. Self healing too. Suntek is the brand.

Also, I think BMW offers a frozen version from the factory now on a couple models as well.

Not sure what I like more. Your building, or your car. I would love to see both in person. I’m going to share your building with a friend. I don’t have first-hand experience with PPF over an entire car, so I need help to see how they do pillars and everything with the door open. But that just looks amazing.

Right?! The building turned out so cool. We’re looking at doing a house in a similar style. But that would be the opposite of ‘not the cheapest way’ to make a home. With this garage, the containers just sitting there with their fat asses is a big part of the structure and was instant storage. But a house would be a lot more involved with insulation, plumbing and wiring to be up to residential code.

As far as this X5M, the door and trunk jams are NOT done. It is possible though with more money 😂😅. They spent a ton of time and put in some major effort to make the rig flawless. Since it’s all the same color, the jam transition is not as noticeable as I was worried about. (That’s what I tell myself &#129315. I was talked out of it and that’s alright I’ll try to take a couple pics of it later today.

Specialist Detail Studio in Las Vegas was the shop. They are real pros.

I think I’m done with with it until maybe it’s next service where I might do more exhaust stuff. We’ll see 😂😅🤣

Ever since I first saw the 50th M Heritage roundel, I really liked it. On this X5M, I dig them being sort of bright and flashy. It’s a little contrast to the rest of the rig. Plus they’re OEM and match the HRE logo colors in the wheel caps. If the HRE caps were different like on their FF10s, it might be another story though. We have an X4M with the standard Bimmmer roundels and they def dont stick out and go ok with the HRE black logo center caps in the rims.

Heres the shots of the PPF film contrast to the gloss paint in the door and hatch jams. Pine needles everywhere!!

Looks great. Of course, you lose the sparkle, or no?

If so, if you don’t like the sparkle it’s a plus!

Same with Dravit with matte PPF.

Def lost a lot of the metal flake sparkle look. I’m not sure if factory frozen paint kept it, maybe and that prob looks real good.
