Another Bimmercode/ASS question

We just upgraded and have two X5's in our garage:
2020 BMW X5 40i with 03/2023.50 software
2021 BMW X5 40i with 03/2021.75 software

Need a little help from the group:
- why are the software loads different? both say they are up to date and no new software pending (or am I looking in the wrong place?)
- will the ASS deactivate function work on the bimmercode for these two?
- I downloaded the bimmercode app just the other day and now looking into buying the OBDII interface. If bimmercode works for ASS, is there a cost for the coding?

Checking for a new version does nothing, it is only available when BMW sends it to the vehicle/phone. Some vehicles don't receive OTAs for various reasons. Since you are not running at least 07/2021 on the one your dealer may update it under warranty. They would in the US but Canada I'm not sure.

Deactivating ASS will not work on the 03/2023 version but will on the other.

There is no ongoing cost for coding but of course you have to buy the app, the demo version will do nothing.

Do you know what the cost is for the app? I was able to download it but it did not ask for payment

Not sure about Canadian, I think it is $39.99 US.

I have a 2020 X5 40i and tried coding to disable AS/S feature. I paid for the full version of BimmerCode. I was allowed to code it but it is still activated. I'm I doing something wrong or are other having the same issue? Any help or advise will be appreciated.

What version of iDrive are you running?

He asking what version of iDrive7 are you running. Go to the menu under car setting and scroll down to software update and you will see the version of iDrive7. If it is 03/2023.xx, that version can not be programed with Bimmer Code to eliminate ASS. Sorry
