50e charging problem ?
Hi everyone, my 50e is making a very strange noise while charging, is it normal ?
I’ll call my dealer monday but I’m very afraid of charging it into my house this week end https://youtube.com/shorts/BOCrkM3_Y...cVuLb3ArFC1Phe |

I can't tell for sure, but if it has been hot, the cooling circuits could be working at full tilt. When things cool off, it tends to be quiet with maybe just a slight fan noise and humm.

being quiet isn't necessarily a good thing. charging = heat. the batteries want to be at optimum temperature before and while charging. it just could be that you aren't aware of the fans running, or the conditions during your charging session are such that running the fans isn't needed (e.g., cooler ambient temps allowing batteries to cool down on their own prior to charging...)

After a long, 8-hour road trip at interstate speeds on a hot summer day, I plugged in to recharge at my destination. For over an hour, the fans were running at maximum, making a lot of noise before things cooled down enough and shut down. But, with my typical shorter trips, it barely makes a noticeable sound while charging...so, it depends.
