The button is there but not the lock button I have seen on the electric tailgates.

Good point. The lock button is only on the top tailgate on mine, but here, I believe that is standard and was on the F15 too. This must be some kind of regional thing maybe? A strange one though.

It doesn't mention anything in the UK comfort package description about this being added, maybe I missed something.

The std UK X line spec mentions "tailgate operation automatic".

Anyone in the UK without the comfort package confirm please..

Comfort Access
Comfort Access allows keyless entry to the vehicle. Sensors detect the proximity of the keys to the vehicle and allow the doors to be unlocked by holding the door handle closest to the key. Locking the vehicle is done by touching the ribbed section of the door handle when the key is not inside the car. Includes touch-free opening and closing of the tailgate.

The photo for the Comfort Package shows both parts opening with the foot being used.

Thanks Jimbg,

Made me look further and I found this.

Tailgate, automatic, two part, top-hinged section which can be opened seperately and manual bottom-hinged section

Bugger.......

Where did you find that? Is that for the standard description.

I have recerntly ordered the Comfort package on the basis assuming both parts open.

Just confirmed with my local dealer that you need the comfort package to get the electric lower..
