Seat ventilation fan locations

Does anyone know the locations of the seat ventilation fans in the front seats? Is there one in the lumbar? I think there is one and mine no longer works..but i and confirm it. Anyone know?

Based upon performance, I think they're located in next county.
This is the only thing I've noticed as being sub-par in my X5...really lame.
According to service dept., they're working as designed. (?)

Thank you. That diagram explains why my lumbar area always feels warmer than the rest. I assume and hope that if a fan were to fail, we would somehow be notified of it? I swear my seat feels warmer than it did months ago leading me to suspect 1 or more fans are not working any more.,

You can try the old "wet finger" test. Turn on the ventilation. Wet you finger by licking it. Then move the wet part of your finger around the seat, staying close to the seat but not touching it. When it feels like it is cooling off you are in the air stream of the fan.

I've found the effective when I get into the car are I am a bit sweaty. It does cool my back. What I don't like about the seat ventilation is that it is a bit noisy.
