BMW Maintenance Plan
What is everyone paying for the BMW Maintenance Plan for new vehicle leases that covers the brakes and wiper blades?
I was quoted $700 which seems in line but wasn’t sure if I could get it for less. I didn’t bother on my F15 X5 but am getting an M50 and was told by a BMW tech that the brakes on this model are very costly. |

i paid 2k for mine, which is useless for me now because the pandemic hit so i barely drive my car, bought in December of 2019 and 1 year later i only have 4500 miles on it. Even though it said to cover brakes but they only will do it if the car alert you to change brakes which is around 40K mark. You cannot request them to change brake 2 or 3 years down the road just because you paid extra for the package. my 2 grand just went out the door for nothing.

since you work for BMW , my question is CAN a customer cancel their extended maintanance plan after purchase? even with prorated cost. in example 1 year down the road, decide not to have that anymore, can customer cancel and get reimburst back? i heard mix review with this. some say yes, some say no. some say depend on the state.. |

The finance manager at my dealer explained very clearly what was stuff you have to buy today, and what you can buy later. Since brakes can be very variable, she recommended to buy the extended warranty if you actually need brakes. This is a lease of course.
