Exclamation Feel like a boat when brake

Got a new 2024 X5 xDrive 40i and put about 200 miles on it. It's wonderful car.

However, not sure if it is normal and I am not used to the bigger car (used to own Mazda CX5, which is way smaller and lighter). Or is there something wrong with the car.

Basically, when I apply brake, the car stops well and brake is immediate. However, at the stop, the car would move a little forward and backward, making me feel like riding on a boat or a very soft suspension. I know there might be inertia or something. But I don't experience this in my cx5 before, at least not often.

Anyone experience the same? Normal? Break in?

Garage List
1) maybe you’re just braking hard if the vehicle is jolting upon full stop. difficult to say for sure, though. i did not experience this during break-in nor after, so it could just be a style thing. it is a different vehicle and much heavier than your CX5

2) does the brake pedal feel spongy or squishy? maybe air in the brake line

maybe post a video?
