So, if I roughly doubled my water intake since father's day, shouldn't it be running clear yet??? I'm getting about 110oz/day now.

Clear is bad. It's a sign of an electrolyte deficit.

Gallon is the goal, but those leg cramps I got in the middle of the night SUCK! It hasn't been two weeks yet on the increase.

Hell, when we went for sushi last night, I ordered a sake AND a glass of water.

True, if you're exercising it can be bad. But if you're just doing normal office stuff and drinking lots of water, not a big deal.

Drinking too much water without added electrolytes either in fluid or food form will flush your electrolytes and make it difficult for your body to absorb the fluids your consuming. This is why you read about people dying of heat stroke in the Grand Canyon and their buddy reports that the departed was drinking plenty of water before collapsing. Now at the Grand Canyon you'll see signs for hikers to bring an electrolyte drink, or water and potato chips, etc... when they hike. Too much of just one thing is always bad, even if it's something good.

Our bodies are complex yet resilient and amazingly efficient and processing the garbage we consume or making up for the nutrients we lack. The sooner people realize that a balance of nutrients is the key to keeping your body at top efficiency, the better because it will start to repair much of the damage we've done in our youth. Organ function greatly increases when you're feed them what they need.

If you're drinking a normal amount of water, half of your body weight in pounds consumed in ounces of water, and running clear during a time of no physical exertion, running clear is fine and is a sign of hydration. If you weigh 200 pounds, you should be drinking 100oz of water throughout your awake hours. Don't scrimp before bed time either and start right when you wake up. Try to consume your last 8oz just before bed. Then start the morning with 20oz as you roll out of bed. Drink a 40 during the day at work and the balance after you get home. Another good idea is to start your day with electrolyte fluids. 8oz of coconut water, a serving of electrolyte supplement, etc... Or just water with reasonable breakfast that has some sodium content.

Edit: if you do any type of exercise you need to increase fluid intake. If you're diet is low sodium, drink an electrolyte drink just before and during your exercise session. It's really hard to catch up when you're dehydrated, so giving your body a head start with an electrolyte drink before exercising is quite beneficial. The days i have to pee 30 min into a 3 hour exercise session are the days i feel the best afterwards.

This is not a good idea. The dog almost always finishes first and then he gets very curious.

1MOREMOD - Brown color pee, or 'cherry soda' colored pee is likely a sign of a stone doing some damage in the kidneys before traveling down the tube...

Don't ask me how I know - but I can share a SWEET pic of a 6mm stone...
