Floor and cargo mat recommendations

Hello Group.

I’m waiting on a build for my 45e so of course I’m starting to think about accessories. In the past I’ve bought WeatherTech floor mats and a cargo liners. I once tried the laser fit floor mats, but they proved to be pretty slippery in the winter so I’ve just been buying the rubber mats. I do miss the raised edges, but my detailer is always able to clean up the salt and grime every season. I have liked the laser fit cargo liner in all of our other cars (sedans), but do not have experience with the WeatherTech ones for the X5.

So, what are you favorites? Links are always helpful.

Tried most of them including OEM BMW, I found Tuxmat to be the nicest and most protective. In Montreal it gets really nasty with salt and slush and the only place I found some salt was at the base of the gas pedal.
The cargo mat was out of stock but by chance I found a michelin one at costco for $30 as opposed to $150 and more from other brands.

Those look really nice. I like that the Tuxmat logo isn’t very prominent.

I bought the black BMW OEM floor liners, front and rear, and the cargo area. I'll be selling them at 50% of MSRP at lease end.

Personally, I have always liked Weathertech. Here's what they look like for reference in an X5. The front one does block the dead pedal partially, but that doesn't bother me at all.

I got the Weathertech for the cargo liner. It fits perfect. Havent used it much yet though. The weatherteck blocks work nice too to prevent groceries from sliding.

If you have 3rd row, WT has 3rd row specific cargo liner (the large one, for when the 3rd is down). It'll match the seat belts for the 3rd row and such. I believe they are the only ones with matching 'large' cargo liner w/3rd row...

WT also has the 'small' cargo liner for when the 3rd row seats are in the up position, but this you can find from other brands as well.

Picked these up on amazon, they have been working great so far. Not slippery, easy to clean and they contain everything within the matt whereas the bmw matts almost channeled slush and snow onto the carpet.

I bought the WeatherTech just like this back in 2014 for our 3-series GT and found them to be quite slippery in the winter. for our 2016, we went back to the WT's regular rubber liners. I really do miss the look of the laser cut liners and the high lip to catch the winter crap. Do you find yours slippery?

Tuxmat is sold out! I have been a big fan of the WeatherTech cargo liners for ages. Glad to know you're liking it with the X5. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree that they are more slippery then rubber or carpet due to their hard plastic material, but nowhere near enough that I have noticed it to be of concern. The protection they provide is second to none, so I suppose it's a trade off.

I'm in Belgium....
all these nice mats (3D MAXpider or Weathertech) are nowhere to be found (or I'm looking wrong).
On Amazon the shipping costs as much as the mats themselves...

What are Europeans recommending as all-weather mats?

Just remember not all mats for g05 fit perfect for 45e because of raised floor. I bought a cheap one a year ago that was flat (have dogs). Bit it doesn't fit that well. It comes over the aluminum, so lides out easely and also corners not cut that well.

But because it was cheap and I didn't found anything else that was flat enough a didn't return it...

But if other 45e owners have recommendations....

I've always thought that lining the floors with big hunks of plastic takes all the "luxury" out of a luxury vehicle,I just leave the carpet mats in and shake, brush or vacuum them to look clean again. I've never had a problem with the rugs underneath getting stained wet or smelly, but I guess I don't really get in my dd with really muddy dirty wet feet like you all must.

For the cargo mat in my GO5 (and our G07) I went with a liner from cocomats after seeing an ad in Roundel which was great for keeping sand off the floor

What’s wrong with the rubber (all weather) BMW mats or the plastic floor liners that you can order from your BMW’s parts department (or search online using the 11 digit BMW part number)?

{rubber floor mats}

{plastic floor liners (sides go up a bit higher to help contain more debris or water)}

{carpet mat (3 different part nbrs based on if you have 3rd row, compartment pkg or regular basic cargo area)

I've not ruled them out. Just looking for people's experiences. I read that the BLW plastic liner is made by WeatherTech and I found my previous WeatherTech slippery and it has more grooves in it. It may be that I find the WeatherTech liners to be more slippery than others because I am not always wearing flat shoes.

The rubber looks nice and it could work, but no one has really chimed in about it (or the liner) with IRL experiences. I have the BMW all-weather rubber ones in my '03 E46 and found them to be very ill-fitting. But, these do look much better.
