I have used BMW Nav on all my long road trips and never had a problem the routing. Can't say whether it is as good as Waze or not but only that the BMW rerouting has worked fine for me.

I have always used(iDrive 8) similar setup as most of the users here: BMW NAVI for active guidance and Waze on AndroidAuto in background for the traffic/police alerts. But since roughly 2 weeks I have an issue with Waze - once launched in AA it immediately enters guidance mode without any destination and hijacks both main screen and instrument cluster displays and interrupts native navigation. The widget on main screen shows "Active route guidance via AA" and switches me to Waze when selected. The MAP button next to iDrive controller also opens Waze. The only way around this I have found is to press the NAVI arrow icon(above AA icon) on left side of main screen - this one leads to BMW NAVI where I can start guidance and thus get Waze to go in background. Afterwards I can even cancel the active guidance in NAVI and Waze will stay in background. But I have to perform this routine every time when starting the car. Anybody having similar issues? Any ideas for more permanent fix?
My iDrive is on 3/2023.53 and Waze version is 4.98.0.1, AA - 10.3.633424

PS. I know this is a G05 forum and I drive G21, but I think this topic is not model related, but more iDrive - AA - Waze dependant. Apologies if this post is against the common rules here.
