Thank god for PPF!

Found out today someone probably scratched me a couple days ago in a parking lot. Thank god I got PPF 2 weeks ago!

Now my question is that is it possible to remove this and heal up the PPF? Or should I just replace that section? Or should I just ignore it and be thankful?

Clean it off and see what's left. If there's no cuts in it, and minimal marks left after you get the transfer off, I would leave it. It'll just get rock chips eventually. Then replace the ppf. Won't be worth the money to replace it yet.

Looks mostly like rubber/paint transfer. A good detailer should be able to get most of it off. If there's a small nick/cut in the ppf jsut leave it.

I recommend that you go to the shop that installed your PPF and get their opinion.

Keep your fingers crossed as it might be a simple fix that they can do with a small patch while you wait. Before going you should pickup some BMW touch up paint as you never know how it will look once they peel away the PPF in that section.

Exactly. I’ve been in this situation and the paint came up when the PPF was being removed/replaced. Premature to say the PPF saved you. That said, hopefully it’s nothing and you can remove/replace with no issue.

A few weeks ago this happened to me where I had a case of front bumper rash, and I thought that it was a simple replacement of a small section of PPF. It turned out that my shop had to use my Misano Blue touchup paint and then wait for it to dry before adding PPF. Once done it looked brand new! 👍🏻

Thank you, I'll go back to the shop and ask their opinion and decide then what I want to do!

Definitely the best course of action!

You should invest in a package of BMW touch-up paint and have it on hand for future use as most dealers only stock the basic colors.
