Thank you! My dealer told me that arrival date was scheduled to April, 17th, but actual arrival date is 11th, so, he said it's probably already arrived!

That's awesome! Mine has been unloaded in Oxnard but according to BMW is not scheduled to leave Oxnard for delivery to my dealer in OR until 4/24 (although he did say that was subject to change...hopefully subject to change for an earlier date and not later!).

I was really hoping to pick up the X5 before my current lease ends on 4/29. Looks like it will be close....

Placed order 3/25. Dispatched from factory today. Anyone have any idea how long it takes to get from South Carolina to the dealership in New Jersey? Also how long does the dealership keep it to prep it?

My CA did an excellent job checking over the car before I arrived. Very nicely detailed. Nitrogen filled tires. Floor liners and cargo liner installed. Genius spent about an hour with us goin over the tech features, setting up our profiles, etc.

Mine was dispatched from factory today too, after 2 weeks stuck at “awaiting carrier assignment”. Your car and mine should both arrive at our dealers tomorrow and be ready for pick up Wednesday. Dealer prep doesn’t take much time at all. Congratulations and good luck with your new car.

My X5 is finally on it's way from CA to OR. Looks promising that I'll be able to pick it up this weekend

3/7: order placed
3/25: production begins
4/2: entering assembly line
4/3: quality check
4/3: awaiting carrier assignment
4/5: dispatched from factory

The wait is killing me. Ordered the car on 4/12 and went into the production queue on 4/16. Since then it is in the same status and hasn't moved to the exterior assembly begins stage. At the time of ordering, i was told by my dealer in San Jose, CA that delivery time frame is 8-10 weeks but at the pace that this is going it looks like delivery may well be beyond 12 weeks..... to top it off I don't have a car at the moment so already 1 month of rental is looking at $800 and I just hope I don't have to shell out more than that. It will defeat the purpose of all the hard negotiations that I did to get almost 15% of off the MSRP.

Yes but from what i know that the laser light unavailability is for May builds and not for April and the cut off date for that was 4/20 or 4/22 onwards. Originally when I checked the production status on 4/17 it said that the completion date is 4/29 and now the production completion date is 4/26, which is today but online it still shows as "entered production queue". Not sure what is going on and who to believe lol.

I did speak to BMW customer relations and brought up the Laser light non availability for May production and they confirmed to me (however correct and believable they are) that if my order went through for the build with the options that I picked then that means it will come with the car. I asked him that what if it delays the production by 4 weeks or so just waiting for that part if there is a shortage and he said if your build was accepted and started production then that would not be the case. Let's see what happens - keeping my fingers crossed!
