I have purchased some Zaino Z-10 Leather In a Bottle (https://www.zainostore.ca/zaino-prod...r-in-a-bottle/) to protect the ivory leather in my new G05 when it arrives. Is it the same as Gyeon Leathershield (http://gyeonquartz.com/product/leather-shield/) or would you recommend a protection is applied first when the seats are new?

I have no experience with Leathershield. I have used many premium products, but find Zaino best and easiest to use. The Zymol products work well, but application more involved.

This one's served me extremely well for quick weekly (or as needed) cleans on all of my whitish (cream beige and Ivory) BMW leathers for years. It takes out blue dye transfer or anything else very quickly.

I've purchased the Gyeon Leathershied after some recommendations here. Quick question: can I apply that on Sensatec dashboard and door top since it's not genuine leather? Any side effects? Thanks!

I bought the same. I put it on the leather dash and wish I would have left it alone as I didn't do a good job of an even spread and know I have a few spots that bug me.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Would applying another layer of coating resolve that? What you did make sense but mine is not the real leather so not sure if this is even a good idea. Just in case there's some side effect over time especially under the hot sun.

Funny, just got an email from them this evening. Since it's been three weeks the product has cured. The recommendation was to apply another light coat and buff it off immediately. I'll give it a go on the weekend.

Appreciate this thread, we're getting ready to order Ivory White Vernasca, just a bit worried about stains. Any regrets?

I have Ivory Vernasca and while it is a battle against dye transfer, I wouldn't have any other color.

Same. I have the Ivory Vernasca and have a constant battle with dye transfer. I clean it at least once a month. Good news it always comes up clean with a good leather cleaner.

A light leather will show dirt, stains and dye more than darker leather. It just will. I moved away from it several years ago because of that. But - as someone noted - the same amount of discoloration occurs on darker leather. It's just harder to see. Leather is a natural product, and requires periodic maintenance to reduce wear, maintain its integrity and look nice. Darker leather just requires less frequent maintenance for the "look nice" part, but regular service shouldn't be ignored on either.

Get it ceramic’d. Stops dye transfer from denims and makes it super easy to keep clean. I wipe my ivory down once every 2 weeks and it looks brand new still 6 months in.

No regrets. I've been using water filled with a small cup of dettol to wipe the surface once each week because of the current pandemic too and it's all good.

Great, did you also treat it with anything when you first got it?

Debating trying this, but kinda worried about chemicals and odors.

For those of you who've kept your ivory clean, do you recommend just spot treating and cleaning with regular leather cleaner? Any specific products?

Thanks!

I had mine ceramic coated upon delivery. I’ve had it 6 months now and not a mark on it. I use Dr Leather wipes once every few weeks to take off any dirt.

Searching the forum brings up previous discussions on Merino leather care:

Ivory Merino Leather - upkeep/staining https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1573557

Merino Leather Care https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1567357

Personally, applied GYEON LeatherShield+ and use BMW leather care wipes weekly or every other week cleaning. Received a BMW Ultimate Cleaning kit, BMW leather care with UV protection kit, and 5 packs of leather cleaning wipes and interior wipes gift box from my dealer today... probably an incentive to get me into the G22 M440i that I've eyeing.

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering how it still holds up. Also did that ceramic treatment make the leather shiny or change it in anyway? Did it take away the leather smell?

Can anyone speak to their experience (albeit recent) with the upkeep and maintenance of the ivory leather, and specifically how easily dies from clothing transfer?

Thanks in advance!
She's absolutely right the dye from the jeans will make the bottom of seat blue but Griots interior cleaner if done weekly will take it off

I would recommend Ivory w/ Nightblue if that is in consideration. The blue bolsters on the sides probably get the most "rub", and can mask stains better.

Additionally, the contrast is beautiful and you get to enjoy the Ivory as well.

I picked up my X5 45e yesterday and it looks great. Got the list of add-ons with extended warranty, extended service plan, windshield replacement, etc. I declined everything except the XPEL Paint Protection Film ($1,900), which is actually useful for our roads here since they use a lot of sand and rocks during the winter months. The only other thing I was interested in was the interior fabric protection. I have the ivory white vernasca interior. I guess the BMW option comes with 5 years protection against everything, from denim transfer to tears, etc. Will replace the whole cover at no cost if necessary. It's $895. Worthwhile? I also purchased these products for DIY, but haven't used yet and will not use if I go with the BMW option:
https://www.amazon.com/COLOURLOCK-Fr.../dp/B01BCCQWGK
https://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-9.html
https://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-10.html

Thanks for any thoughts!
