Dent Repair

During a storm, a branch fell and glanced my rear driver's side door. No paint damage, but there is a small crease/dent ~2" long just above the body line crease in my door. It's not noticeable from a distance, only close up or when you look straight down the body line. Has anyone had experience removing something like this? Do the "suction cup" tools sold online work well?

Thank you.

Definitely. Don’t try to do it yourself as you can do more harm than good. They’ll probably have to take apart your door so they can push the dent out from behind it.

I have had paintless repair for door dents. Amazing what they can do. Fixed mine with out taking the door apart.

Yep had the same on previous cars. They use a small inflatable pad to make a small gap in front of the glass an insert a roller on a long handle, a bit like a tiny radiator paint roller. They use a straight poll to create a reflection in the panel and then roll from the inside and tap from outside until the reflection of the pole is straight.

You'll never know it was there

Check Yelp. The guy I used on two of my previous cars made the dents go away completely. Really amazing work. They apply force from inside the panel. The challenge can be gaining access behind the panel. On one of my cars, he had to drill a small hole behind the wheel liner so that he could get something in there to push on the dent. Again, looked perfect after he was done.

I almost damaged my vehicle's paint with a DIY kit from Amazon. A friend of mine told me about PDR or paintless dent repair and I gave a shot to the man.
It took the guy about two hours and Wola! No more dents. Magician! https://www.arsdentrepair.com

Sounded like my issue. The Dent Dr worked his magic on my G05.
