F95/96 Individual Colors?

Anyone hear anything about individual color orders recently? Last rumor I heard was August or later in 2020. Don't know about you guys, but the current color palette isn't very exciting to me personally. Obv haven't seen these in person, so that may sway my decision to go with a standard color versus individual.

Yeah, the current palette isn't very good. Wish they had an orange or a yellow color.

Besides the Ametrin and Tanzanite that you pay extra there won't be Individual Colors offered for any ///M model build in US which is every X model

Odd, because the XM5C and X6MC are both listed on the visualizer site. When you select the X5MC it still states individual colors are expected to be available from 8/2020 onward which is why I'd asked if anyone heard anything new or different from their SA...

Bringing this back to the top - it looks like BMW pulled the X5M/X6M from the visualizer site which makes me think that the SC plant isn't going to allow for special or custom colors on these cars. Given the boring color palette available I might as well order a Tesla X.

^^ Going to a model X because of colors options doesn't seem like a good idea. I actually think the choices this time around is better that what was offered in the past.

If it was, it would stop being Nardo Grey. The limited availability it's a good thing.

I do agree, a Nardo Grey would be killer.

Nardo is not a traditional BMW color, it is a traditional Audi color I believe. There is no way it will ever be offered as a standard color. Similarly, Fashion Grey and Grey Black are Porsche colors and will never be standard on BMW.

I do agree it would be great if BMW offered their own version of these classic colors.

Visualizer site was updated recently and includes the X5M...not the same colors as the other M models, but it's a start!

I would never expect them to be standard, or a serial color - I would expect BMW to let me pay to have it painted another color. What I was told by the dealer was you can pay for them to paint it a color in their "special paints" category, meaning they've done it before, for an upcharge. If you want a color not in the special paints it can also be done, but the upcharge goes from ~$5k to ~$9k. If you look at the visualizer site you'll see Nardo, Rosso Corsa, Verde Mantis, etc. listed as special paints.

The bigger question for me was can SC do this, or only the plants in Germany? The special palettes are different between X5Ms and an M5, so my guess is they are slowly rolling them out in SC over time.

Had it not added on 6 weeks to my order, I would have totally gone for urban green on mine. I settled for manhattan green metallic.
