Apple Carplay
Every time I connect my iphone using carplay, it only works for a few days then I have to delete and reconnect. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

I also have problems connecting to Carplay, often it doesn't connect at all, other times it connects but it doesn't automatically start playing where I left it before getting out of the car. Anybody knows what is causing this and how it can be improved?

Not sure why it doesn't automatically play, but the phone calls seem to connect right away when going from phone to car. My two recommendations for CarPlay quick access would be the following:
1. Set one of your 1-8 preset buttons to "Phone in CarPlay" 2. Set one of your 1-8 preset buttons to "Media in CarPlay" (I think it is media) This cuts out the extra set of selecting CarPlay when hitting the COMM or MEDIA button near the scroll wheel. If it's an issue establishing a connection, then it might be time for a software update from the dealership. The July and November updates seem more stable. But I would definitely recommend shortcutting phone and media in CarPlay. Makes like much easier when you want to get rolling. |

What iOS version are you using? Use the latest iOS, and ask your dealership to update your iDrive software. |
