Help Fix Paint Fading?

My fellow Bimmers,

I parked my carbon black M50i in my building's garage and some weird liquid dropped on my door panel. Wifey found out a while ago but thought it was just some dirty water so we didn't pay too much attention. However, when I washed my car today, I found out that the liquid marks are permanent, making me think it had to be some acid that eroded my paint.

I tried wax and it did not work either. Have you guys experienced similar situation and any recommendations on how to fix it? Thank you so much in advance

Weird. Have you tried a rubbing compound yet?
