BMW G05 X5 Genuine Glass Crafted Automatic gear selector Crystal shift knob installed

Wanted this for a long time and finally got it installed. Thought the original shift knob was a bit dull and boring, installed this Genuine BMW crystal shift knob, looks amazing and feels much better in hand.

Yes I did, you have to, or else your car won't let you start your engine

Where did you locate the engine compartment battery, if there is one?

I have a diagram that shows it on the left-hand side (facing the front of the engine) at the back - underneath the windscreen wiper cowling. I've had a close look without removing the cowling but I couldn't see much under there.

Did the same thing recently along with the volume knob, iDrive controller and start/stop button.

I removed the cowling and looked inside, there is a bay for a secondary battery but mine was empty, I think that secondary battery is for hybrid cars.
