Your example showed your misunderstanding of how things work. You can disagree if you want but please don't post that nonsense as someone looking for information may think someone posted it knowing what they were talking about. Unless someone coded climate passenger rules to my car unbeknownst to me, I had it when it when I purchased it. Please stop spreading misinformation. |

I'm still running on 07/2019 .53 and no OTA alert so far. I will go for regular service end of December and request the latest software update then.
P.s: I do have climate rules only active on driver side. |

What model do you have? I've an M50i, maybe it was model dependent for having passenger side also, or just a glitch in the matrix. lol.

I had an OTA update last month to 11/2019.70 from 11/2019.50 if I’m not mistaken. It went pretty smoothly. Just wished we would have the option to update it to the latest version.

I really don't wanna visit my dealer to get the latest software at this time. If they push the latest version through OTA then that will be the real purpose of the OTA

Hopefully they get to that point soon. Some owners in the US have been told that 03/2020.xx will be skipped in the OTA process and 07/2020.xx will be delivered starting in the Oct/Nov timeframe. Hopefully that is true but I'm a bit skeptical about it given the history of OTAs.

I may be able to help with the heated seat rules.
On 07/2020.x I can configure rules for the heated drivers seat and wheel, passenger seat, using the idrive menu natively with no coding. If I want to setup rules for the back seats I need to code the car, which results in 2 systems in idrive - 1 native and 1 coded. These compete against each other with the native one taking precedence. So, if I set a rule natively and in the coded menu for the driver or passenger seats, then the native rule wins. Not sure when the native capability for pax seat was added but it's definitely there now in the UK |

I finally got the notification on my phone to download to 11/2019.70.
I read there are some issues with this update. I'll make sure to find something wrong so dealer can update to the latest next month when in for oil service.

I am in Canada East Coast. After installing 07.2020.48 by the dealer in September and not believing in BMW Remote Software Update, I suddenly got a surprise pop up to upgrade to 07.2020.54 the other day: both on iPhone and on the car itself. Just finished, all went smooth. Nothing changed though
