How accurate is the BMW production app ?
So my car shows a status of at the dealer as of 3 days ago but my SA has said repeatedly that it's not on the lot yet and he would let me know as soon as it arrives, not sure if he's just too busy to deal with me right now and the car is sitting somewhere still wrapped or if it is actually not there and being held somewhere else until they have a full shipment for that dealership. Just curious if others have shown a at dealer status and the car isn't there yet.

Not very accurate at times. Mine showed as at the dealer on a Saturday morning but it didn't arrive at my dealer until the following Wednesday evening.

If I recall, it showed "awaiting carrier assignment" or something like, after our dealership had them for several days....

What is the name of the app? I check through my internet browser.
I login through mybmw portal and the tracking there was slightly off based on the BMW Genius call that I had last week (i.e. 2-3 days delay for order scheduled for production in mybmw portal). |

For what it's worth...the status in My Garage showed "at dealership" and the dealership had not yet received it (it was delivered several hours later). And when I spoke to someone at BMWNA they showed it still at the processing center. I got a text about 3 hours later saying the vehicle was at the dealership. So they give a good idea - but your sales rep has the best info.

In my experience, the app and the phone number aren't very accurate. Mine was off by about 3 days though, not 6. The problem is the shipping carrier not providing good info.
As others have said, the salesman has the best info. I can't imagine they'd want to sit on your car, they do want to get paid as soon as possible. |
