X5 45e Prior to recall fix safe to drive?
I got hit with the recall phone call today from BMW NA. Just curious, is anyone out there worried about driving it or just worried in general that it might catch fire like the few in Europe?

If driven as specified, it appears not to be an issue, but won't be anywhere near as efficient! Recharging the batteries creates heat, and it's the heat that seems to be an issue that can trigger a reaction, if your battery has the defect. By limiting the recharging from an EVSE, or by the internal motor turned generator while driving, no heating, no issue.
