LCI - individual mode

In my pre-LCI i typically drive in individual mode with everything set to sport + except the transmission (so that it goes into overdrive). This also shuts off the auto start stop.

Is this drive mode available on the LCI or will I not be able to defeat the auto start stop?

Thnx

Driving my 2024 X5 40i in native sport mode does disable ASS. I find using Sport Individual did not disable ASS. However, I haven't tried all possible combinations.

If using sports individual, only way to turn off ASS is to set transmission into sports in the individual setting. Which is kinda the same thing as putting it in sports mode to begin with.

I just decided give it a chance and dont really notice it anymore. But I havent gone thru summer season with it. Lets see how I feel about it after high temps come and my ac turns off at the stop light.

Thanks - that’s too bad. Really like everything in sport but want the transmission shifting into overdrive on the highway …. And no ASS

The best workaround for auto stop/start in every day usage is disabling traction control. I've been doing that the past few weeks on clear days and it's really fixed the biggest complaint I've had about the car (slow-speed jerkiness and the AC cycling off at every stop).

Even with 500+ hp, the car has so much grip that it's practically impossible to break traction under normal/dry circumstances.

The only drawback is it feels like I'm starting an airplane every time I get in the car:

1. Start the car
2. Press OK on the screen to immediately clear the warning
3. Press the traction control button, then turn the dial to the second option, and click it
4. Press Sport button to select Sport Individual (to get firmer steering/suspension)
5. Push the drive selector down into Drive

Add a couple extra steps in there if Android Auto is being cranky that day.
