Anybody Ordering X6s?

From this forum I know of 2 people having ordered 2020 X6s:

mspete75; ordered 8/5... 9/5 build date
Myself; ordered 8/16... 9/15 build date

Are there any other orders out there? Order date? Build date?

Nope, the X6/X4 market is a niche so I don't expect a huge number of people on here to get them. Good luck with order though, can you post a full build sheet?

That's going to look really nice, grey over red! Good choice on the 20" wheels, there are virtually no 21" tire options

I'll bite!

Just put in an order for X6 #3

2020 X6 xDrive M50i
Arctic Grey Metallic
Black Leather
Aluminum Dark Mesh
21" 741M Wheels w/Performance run flats
Luxury Seating
Driving Assistance Pro
Dynamic Handling
Executive
Glass Controls
Extended Shadowline Trim
Heated Seats, Armrests & Steering Wheel
Space Saver Spare

I don't like the look of the 20inch wheels. If I could I would use my F16 rims, but the bolt pattern changed. I'm gonna dip the wheels graphite-ish. I'm content with P-zeros on the 21inchers.

My rep said that when the dealership person who does ordering tried to add Acoustic Glass, was told that it was not available right now. I feel like there was an issue getting the glass in the past at points. Was told we could check back closer to production.

Have an order number but not scheduled for production yet.

For those of you that have ordered an X6, did you get discounts anywhere close to what people are getting on a 2020 X5?

I got 5% under sticker, on an $86K build with a clean return on my '17 X6. There is also $750 in loyalty on top of the 5% plus $1,000 from BMWCCA.

I think you need to see the other side of that screen.... Also check out this link regarding the ind. Hold Date..... Did you order any Individual options?

I just placed my order on Monday (8/26), and my production number is almost 2000 less than yours... I'm guessing from this screenshot, my dealership got a production slot on 8/9 and now I'm looking at Halloween delivery.....

I only asked for 5.5% off MSRP and buy rate on the MF....

In Los Angeles you can't even get TrueCar prices on 2020 M Cars. And the few that do offer, it's like $1k off!

I struggled to get $3000 off my F16 50i when it came out.

Early Adopter penalty! If I went 40i, might be more off, but that's cause they have to order more of those. I think dealers have to bring in the M50i's about as often as M cars.

Seems like most of you who placed an order of the 2020 x6 went with DHP and not 2-axle air suspension. Can you describe why? Does it have to do the x6 being perceived as a sporty ride or the decision in choosing between DHP vs air suspension is purely due to comfort?

Also, did you guys debate between x6 and x5 prior to placing the order? How did you guys come to the conclusion to get an x6 over the x5, especially if you have a family. Thanks

My current leased '17 X6 xDrive 35i was bought off the showroom floor with DHP. So I've experienced the '17 version of this option for the past 3 years & have found it to allow quick cornering to be quite flat for this heavy, tall vehicle. I think this makes the vehicle feel more controllable & predictable. Some might call that sporty, but I am comforted by the handling aid this option provides.

I don't have a large family, so the X6's form was more attractive to me than the X5's.

Just the full merino and carbon fiber trim which the dealer said the merino was showing as individual?

It should only take a few days to build your X6. Do we have a way to monitor our cars' production steps, on line, as per your attached photo may indicate?

The image in the message shows a report, Vehicle Inquiry: Status, that only a dealer can get. However, soon after you place an order you will get a production number which you can use to see the production status of your car online via mybmw on the bmwusa.com site. The online report is not as detailed as the Vehicle Inquiry: Report but it give you a good idea of how your car is progressing done the production line.

Unless you are closer to actual production, I'm going to assume that the only thing you will see on MYbmw tracking page using the production number is the following in status 111.....

So unless you call up your dealer and get the info from the right side of the Vehicle Inquiry screen, you'll have no clue when you're car is going to be built..... And if your production number is higher than mine (3963xxx) and I'm Halloween, you might be in November if there is any correlation between production numbers.
