Switching/jumping between songs stopped working

When playing songs from my iPhone via Bluetooth, I used to be able to jump to any arbitrary song in the play list using the list display on the HUD/instrument cluster. Strangely, as of last week it suddenly stopped working... Now I can only select the songs immediately adjacent to the current one, selecting anything besides these has no effect at all (except for the little bounce animation).

I now miss that feature a lot... Have anyone else seen the same?

Not sure if this is the same thing or not, but I just noticed in my 3 series that I previously could see the full list of songs in my playlist, but just today it only shows me the name of the song currently playing.

Starting point of all issues is: reboot iDrive (press and hold volume button for 20-30s until display goes black) and reboot iPhone.

I feel like mine did that, even on CarPlay, using the scroll wheel in the steering wheel. That was only the 03/2019 versions. Being on 07/2019 versions, I see all the songs and can scroll back and forth. However, there’s random times where it’ll just say no media available. If an iDrive reboot doesn’t fix it, as per LexxM3, I would see if you can get a s/w update. Sounds weird though, especially since it worked for you before.

Yap. Next time, definitely first reboot iDrive and then iPhone if still needed.

That worked! Thanks, looks like routinely reboot once a month is something worth considering

Do you use iPhone with iOS 13 ?

I had experienced this issue with iOS 13, it was resolved with iOS 13.2.2 upgrade

I am beginning to sound repetitive :-). Reboot iDrive.

When you get bored with that, well there are whole lot of both constructive and destructive next step options available.
