Seat settings are not stored in a key, there are stored in your profile. You can link a key to your profile. Please check that you activated your profile to retrieve your seat settings.

To prepare for a possible loss of remote profile info...you can use one of the seat memory buttons (if optioned). This will give you a backup for any loss of a remote key profile in iDrive.
For example, if you setup a remote fob profile in iDrive...any changes to the seat/steering wheel/mirror settings made by someone you've given the vehicle over to...and they make changes...then their last setting becomes the new profile in iDrive. But if you've saved a seat/mirror/steering wheel setting to the seat memory buttons...the changes made by that person doesn't affect those buttons...you can activate that seat memory button to return your seat/mirror/wheel settings...thus restore any changes someone made while using your remote.

I'm having the same issues... seats and steering wheel and, possibly, other settings such as radio presets, are not engaging when I unlock the vehicle with my key.
As you guys know, when you switch off the vehicle and open the door, the steering wheel moves out of the way... What I find is that it does not go back to the position as programmed in seat memory button 1. My name does appear on the dash... I am logged-in and I believe the key is associated with my profile. Any thoughts?
