Drop looks good. How much did you drop it? How is the ride quality? Any clunking sounds? KW is notorious for the clunking, so I am curious if they exist on our truck.

You did lose damper control right?

You can measure the drop by measuring from the bottom of the rim to the fender. Stock is 29 3/4".

It is sounding like MSS might not have lowering springs for our truck any time in the near future. Disappointing.

Thats unfortunate. I'm really looking for high quality yet reasonably priced springs. I'm seeking like a 1inch drop.

I wish someone would try the H&R for feedback. I am not a fan of KW at all. They are cheap coil overs and are notorious for their clunking. I would like to keep electronic damper control too.

Lowering Springs

Does anyone have updates on available lowering springs for X5 40i?

Can someone summarize or list the springs that are currently available and how much they lower the X5?

Additionally, are there any negative ramifications of lowering the X5? Do you lose some kind of damping or a drive mode or anything like that?

The help and feedback is most appreciated.

1 word. FRUSTRATION. Other than the Eibachs and rebranded Eibachs, there is nothing. We still haven't seen a single H&R on a vehicle yet.

RGSprt:

Are you saying H&R springs are available?
If so how much shipped to 06412?

Also, how much do they lower the X5?
How do these compare with Eibach and other options?
What kind of ride do you get?
Do I lose anything on the X5 when you lower the X5 with springs? Damping or drive mode etc?

Yes, they are. I'll PM you on the price.

It is listed as 1.4" drop on the front and rear.
Unfortunately, I haven't done 1 install locally. So, I can't give a feedback on how it rides.
My friend who has G05 X5 is currently overseas for months, so I can't grab the car for testing.

With lowering spring, you won't lose the electronic dampening or drive mode control. It just lower the car.

Ted
Ted,

This is lowered 1.6" on KW V3.
So, with H&R, it would be about 1/4" higher.
