The most I ever see is 37 miles, but I only have the car since 9/29/20. So far 131.4 out of 177.1 in electric.

You can select the history on the X 5 for all they way back at least 2 weeks or just the last trip. I think you can go back longer too but I have only had it two weeks
You can chose 5 values in the BC: factory, custom, trip, last charge, last fuel. The last three reset automatically.

The estimated range after full charge, like mentioned above depends on the last driven miles. I don't know how long, can be the same as the i3. It is not really reliable and changes quickly after starting.

250 Mile update.....thus far, I've been driving relatively "normal". That includes about 50% suburban driving, 50% hwy driving, going about 75-85. Of the 250 miles, the car is telling me 135 miles have been on electric. My mpg to date is 48mpg. At this rate, figuring worst case I get 45mpg, I'm looking at 810 miles per tank of gas! WOW!!!

That is a nice mpg.

It al comes down to your charging habits and length / speed / drive style of your daily commute.

Figures will be worse when temperature decreases.

Someone earlier said he'd gone about 1200-miles and still had 1/2 a tank of the original fill...so, it all depends on your use of the vehicle. Most of mine is local, and I've not used much of any gasoline yet.

I am over 80% electric so far. Maybe closer to 85%.

600 miles driven in the past 16 days that I have owned it.
My gas tank is at 3/4 on the original full tank from the dealer.

And I have not really been trying to stay pure EV.
On Highways I use Sport mode sometimes just for fun.

Pro tip: Configure Electric Individual settings. Set default on startup to Electric mode. Otherwise you start in Hybrid mode by default.

Good tip! I also did this.

In electric mode it stays longer (40% power) in electric than in hybrid (30% power)

Additional to this:

Turn off airconditioning eco setting in the summer. It is not strong enough to cool if it is too hot outside. In the winter it is ok.

And I have put mine in sport steering. The comfort setting is a bit to week for me.

I just hopped in and turned on the AC and it changed to 37.

I think the highest number I have seen was when I timed my departure for right when it finished recharging and I used climatizing also.
Pack voltage settles down after a few hours, so I think maximum EV range is departing right when it finishes.

I believe it is also calculating estimated EV range based on how efficiently you have been driving in the recent history, not sure how far that calc is going back.
new owner here (first week!). I see in the app charged at 100%
and electrical range is 29 miles! do i need to change config somewhere to get your 40 miles full charge?

M3,

I've charged my car about 6 or 7 times since I've had it, everytime its been at 30-31 miles range.

In actual driving though, I've been getting about 35-37 miles.

Give it some time, someone said the first xxx miles it may default to specified range, no one however really knows IMO.

After about 40-miles of mostly small roads at speeds of 30-45 mph, after charging when I got home, the display says 43-miles of electric range. The vehicle needs some history of how you drive and where you drive to get an reasonable estimate. Keep in mind, that estimate is based on how you last drove the vehicle, so if that was all low speed back roads, then you expect that on a highway at 75-mph, guess what, it will be wrong! This is no different than your estimated range to empty with an ICE...I've seen mine say 530-miles after filling up on a long interstate drive with minimal stops, but have it change to 300-miles after driving stop and go in the city.

You will see the results change, but it will take a while for it to build up some history to get a better estimate. Run up to a red light and brake hard will see much lower range than if you see the red light ahead and you coast to the stop. Keeping a steady speed without lots of fluctuations will improve mileage whether on an ICE or EV. Consider it a game if you want to maximize it, otherwise, on a hybrid, just drive it and don't care! The EPA (in the USA) estimates are based on a specific pattern at specific speeds that try to emulate somebody's real life, but nobody has figured out whose, yet! IOW, you may or may not match the estimates, and many people don't.

Thanks guys. Wife drives less than 20 miles a day below 45mph so it's always in electrical (mission accomplished!!!). May be its a reason it goes only to 29 max. Will see....
I expect to use the car on little bit bigger trips on weekends so it may adjust...

Mine now says 46-miles available in EV mode...this is lots more than originally, and I'm driving about the same but it's getting cooler, so will have to see what heating versus cooling does to the range. Some days now, might not need either.

I did a 46 mile trip today, about 23 miles each way. I decided to make it a game and try to be as efficient as possible to go 100% electric. I was within about 1 mile of pulling it off.

I was coasting into red lights, gentle accelerations, cruise control at 45-50 mph, no AC on return trip, etc.

It was a very efficient trip overall. And it showed up when I recharged. It gave me an estimated range of 47 miles when it reached 100% tonight. Usually I see 39-43. So clearly recent history plays a huge role in the estimated EV range.

How do you guys feel the car is very under power in pure electric mode especially when you want to pass someone?

It all depends on your speed. At low speeds it is OK. Above 30-40 mph extra ICE power is welkome for taking over

When taking off from stop lights, I usually pull away from other cars and using only electric to do it. In EV mode it has plenty of acceleration.

If you floor it, it switches to Hybrid mode automatically and will takeoff with gas+electric. At highway speeds it is more likely to be in Hybrid mode where the gas engine chooses to engage more easily.

I guess it depends on the passing scenario. The 45e is not a Tesla with the crazy acceleration. But the electric hybrid combo is plenty fast enough. It accelerates fine for a heavy SUV. In Sport mode it really moves. It leaps around. Amazing change in the car when using Sport mode.

It will fairly easily get up to its EV limited maximum speed. My first drive, I felt it had no problems merging with traffic at 70-mph or so and it was slightly uphill getting there. Had two passengers, but that's a small percentage of the overall weight of the thing. I have not really tried passing someone on a two-lane road where acceleration might have been more critical in EV only mode.

Electric power and acceleration is what disappointing.
I was wondering if sport mode also gets an electro boost or is it 100% petrol engine?

Drove a Taycan yesterday. OMFG, it pushed my eyes into my skull Torque and acceleration is insane.
Range % drops rapidly but that's also the case in my 45e. I guess max range was a bit more than 300km.

I see my 45e now as a slow snail now

Taycan seems great. Maybe my next one if the sport turismo has more space.

You have an idea if sport mode gets the electro boost?
When driving hybrid you see the eboost. But not in sport mode. So I was wondering is Sport 100% ICE with nu electro kicking in?

So what gives most performance Sport or Hybrid mode?

In sport mode you also have electric boost. Max power should be in sport mode

You can see your total hp and torque in the sports display. So you can try both modes.
