Tracking info with BNSF
I'm wondering if anyone has been able to track a BNSF train after leaving Kansas City? After reading a ton of reviews about tracking the train on Norfolk Southern, I don't see any posts about BNSF and that is supposedly the train that our car is on now. It was Norfolk Southern from SC to Kansas City but then changed over to BNSF. Any help tracking would be greatly appreciated.

My bill of lading is 4377662TTGX981834R-E. I believe you only need the TTGX981834 part to track the train. If anyone knows how to track it, please let me know as well.

Qns. how did you get the BIL number? My X5 and 530i were shipped earlier this week and need to start tracking. https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/t...-train.812676/ I searched and found some additional info if anyone is ever looking to track their US produced BMW shipped on Norfolk Southern trains. I first called BMW USA Customer Service (same number you use to get production order status) and spoke with a human. I asked the rep for my bill of lading, which they provided (four letters, 6 numbers). I then followed the below info. Note - use the phone system, a live Norfolk Southern operator doesn't seem to work (called several times - each said they cannot track via bill of lading). Norfolk Southern's number: PLEASE DON'T SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON. Traffic Delivery imtrafficdelivery@nscorp.com Phone 800-497-2919 Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 7:00pm EST Saturday 9:00am - 1:00pm EST Option 1 Tracing Assistance.....Say Tracing (or press 1) * (This will give the current location of the equipment) BMW rep said my car would be in CA (Oxnard) on 12/18 - ETA. When I called the above number and entered in my bill of lading, it said "South Oxnard... Placed, December 11, 12:27AM." The train left on 12/3 from SC, so I assume that means our X5 is now in Oxnard. Pretty cool. Anyway - only posting what I learned so others may also track if they want (I admit, it was a bit more fun tracking my old 550i coming from Germany - but still a fun process). Thanks to all for reading and good luck with your new cars!! |
