That is normal, it will stay at the lower level until you switch drive modes, raise it manually, open your tailgate or remote start (last two being "features"). I use Adaptive as default and lower mine. I only have to lower it again if I remote start or open the tailgate.

Also happy to know more about the bug. I have talked to my dealer about the car changing ride height sponaniously.
When I get out i often set the car to its lowest setting for my kids to be able to get in and out more easily (3 and 5yr olds) Sometimes after opening a door, or indeed maybe the trunk, the car goes back to its normal middle level. Perhaps this is part of the bug you are referring to. I drive a 45e with the latest software. |

As has been mentioned, the vehicle goes to normal height after opening the tailgate or remote starting. We have been calling it a "feature" or bug in the other threads where it has been discussed but it very well could be by design. It also can be dependent on coding since many have changed the default drive mode.
Edit: I should add that it is likely the height goes up after closing the tailgate not when it is just opened. At least I have never noticed it changing right after it was opened and don’t think others have reported that either. So for accuracy the “feature” is when the tailgate is opened and closed. Remote start is OK because I think car should go back to normal height for safety reasons, especially if it was left at higher level for some reason, like getting out of low ceiling garage, you don't want it sitting too high.
