New X5 4.0 Ordered

I ordered new X5 with Executive pkg, 20" wheels, black vernasca leather, arctic grey, driver assistant pro, luxury seating, parking assist, front and rear heated seats.

Ordered 10/3 and hit production this morning. I know people have been asking about production time so thought I would share. I would suspect the build will be complete this week as I believe the build time once started is about 3 days.

Actual build time is a few hours. I think you are seeing that status after a VIN is assigned. That stage usually lasts for a few weeks but it all depends on what the allocation date is. If you call Genius then should be able to tell you your production week and the actual date as it gets closer.

Congratulations and hopefully the wait isn't too bad. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

The car from this morning went from "production scheduled" through body build, past paint booth and now entering assembly line. I suspect it will be in QA/QC tomorrow.

Awesome build, is it xline? Ours is very similar, our order went in 10/1 and my dealer called me this Monday and I picked it up.

I live in Houston and didn't think the XLine was necessary for me so got the S.

You are confusing the drive with the trim. There is sDrive and xDrive and then the trim models are xLine and MSport.

Good to see another J-boat sailor. Me, a 70. The X5 moves it around no problem!

I haven't had a J in years. I had 24's and 22's back in the day and then got into offshore fishing and now have a Cape Horn 31. I have a 2018 F250 diesel to haul the boat. SailJ22 has been a screen name for many years
