Note8 Wireless Android Auto not connecting
Does anyone know if there is any trick to getting Note8 to connect? iDrive sees it and had AA button on screen, but it keeps saying it can't connect, retry..
If it helps, it's Tmobile, Android 9.

Not all devices are supported for wireless AA.
According to this article https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.and...e-1142358/amp/ "Android Auto on BMWs is wireless only. That limits compatibility to Google Pixel phones (plus a few Nexus devices) and some Samsung models." Does not say which Samsung models exactly. Try to Google it somewhere... |

It works fine but I never use it. I like the built in options with iDrive and, to date, haven't had any issues or found anything worthwhile with Android Auto. |

Sorry mods, short term memory problems! I thought I posted the thread in another forum and added new one in general discussion, if possible you can merge them. Quote:
I think it's my phone, but I set AA to default and disabled battery saving features, etc.. Maybe I will ask around Samsung forums directly, worst case factory reset.

There is a "Wireless Android Auto" toggle in the AA app settings that must be turned on. Might check for that....

It works now, so here is what I did. First I uninstalled and re-installed AA, and gave it all the permissions. I also enabled wifi and bluetooth, disabled all power savings options and made sure to add AA to the list that excludes the app from sleep or anything that Samsung has.
It connected immediately. Thanks for the suggestions. I cannot pinpoint exactly which one did it, but I hope this can help others.
