Sure. I have a car on delivery and the STOP025369 campaign in question is on.
It is good to collect information regarding this matter mainly in this message thread. So this mainly affects customers in the EU region whose cars fell victim to last year's December storm. Last edited by torso; 03-19-2024 at 09:21 AM.. |

What December storm are you referring to? Hurricane Idalia was August 2023 when some cars at the port of Charleston, SC suffered salt water damage.

I’m not referring to Idalia storm. There was another storm on December at port. And this message thread is for that one.

My car finally arrived at the dealer. I already went to see it from the outside. I found no signs of salt water or damage. The dealer has received very precise instructions from BMW on how to check the car before the STOP status can be released.
They have to take at least more than 30 photos from different places and send them to BMW. BMW gives the final approval whether the car can be handed over to me or not. If everything is in order, handover would be possible immediately after inspections and final approval. |
