It did reset a lot of settings in the car, but not all of them. One thing to note is if you have disabled auto start/stop with Bimmercode, you will need to disable it again after the update. Thankfully that took all of about 3 mins for me to do last night.

Fix Released
I talked to the BMW genius this afternoon about an issue I had concerning remote start after the update I had a week ago. That was
resolved and I asked about the cornering lights and he told me he received an e-mail yesterday that on 04/01/2019 BMW issued a fix to the dealerships. I will call tomorrow and verify if they indeed got a fix Yeah |

Last night I was able to test it.
We have the adaptive headlights, non-laser. I can confirm that ours work. |

I have .30 and did not notice the cornering lights working. I'll check again. The latest is .35 and it is definitely working in that version.

My cornering lights are working but not sure about when in reverse as I forgot to check near my house early this morning.

Made an appointment today to have my cornering lights enabled. Can’t wait to see these work in person. So far I have no regrets getting the X5 well just 1 I regret not getting the 50i but maybe next time.

My dealer did the IRAP session and got my cornerning light to work, but they dont work with turn indicator and when in reverse. Their head foreman told me he talked to the product engineer about it and was told the cornering light for newer x3, x5 and x7 will only work when the steering wheel is turned at large angle, it doesn't come on in reverse or with turn indicator.

Interested to know as well. I know the dealer recently did a bulletin on my X5 about the wiper hitting the A pillar.

It frustrates me that BMW does not make software release notes available to the public so you can see what is new - they should really after all it is part of the product you have purchased, and just ask Boeing what can happen if you don't tell the operator exactly what the software does.
It would also be great if they had an area of the ConnectedDrive website where you could report software bugs and suggest/vote for new features. As cars and their architecture become increasingly dependant on software, this surely has to become the norm. |
