Updates tend to address bugs, while sometimes adds or modifies features. Depending on what you're doing, it may not be obvious and if it is, could easily be quite subtle.

I have what seems to be 2023/11 on my phone (2023/7 already installed) so I went for a drive yesterday hoping to transfer it to the car but for some reason that it was unwilling to share with me it didn't do the transfer, but it was a fun, if short, drive anyway.

I’ve noticed one thing but that might be just my imagination. Previously when the car was charging and I would open a door - it would immediately pause the charging process until I’d close the door again. Now I sometimes manage to open a door and it keeps charging. Anyone else noticed this?

Once you update to 11/2023 then that should give you the ability to subscribe to it.

Subscribe? As in pay them even more money? For what these cars cost I'd hope they'd just throw it in.

One thing I would pay for, however, is the ability to turn that Auto Stop/Start off.

Me too!! I hate that feature. My GLE had a button i had to press to defeat it which was a pain, but i never remember to switch to manual sport mode in the X5 until it has shut off once or twice already.

I don't think it's available for the M60I. It does not get the illuminated grill like the rest of thew x5's.

I have not seen it my options to add.

The new lighting effects are mainly to do with the headlights and the rear lights on the x5. It doesn’t do anything with the illuminated grill on the x5.

Its not an option on the build website but a one-time purchase on connected drive. Mine is a 40i not an m60i so not 100% sure here, ive seen it on the connected drive website but havent tried looking on the idrive if it shows as a purchaseable item.

Maybe try app update, idrive reboot, or telematic reboot? When i took home my car last week, the "keys" app wasnt showing so i couldnt register my key card or digital keys. Not sure which of the 3 options i listed fixed it, but i did all 3 and i can now see key card and digital key which wasnt showing prior to that. My car got delivered with the latest software but still needed me to do that.

Not positive but in UK illuminated grill is standard on M60i as it gets the m sport pro package as standard and it is part of that, hence non selectable.

Updated mine last night, differences I noticed so far (if these were there before, I hadn’t noticed them):

In Driver Assistance:

• Parking panorama view can now be enabled automatically based on GPS location

• Safety and warning, traffic sign and traffic light warning settings

In Individual Climate Control, there seems to be an additional setting for rear seat climate control (default vs having a set temp, whatever default may be)?

Don’t forget to enable engine start for remote preconditioning if you use that feature through the app (M60i here).

And my settings for auto enabling seat heat and ventilation & heated steering wheel were turned off and had to be set again. I assume they made some changes there.

The rear seat climate control was there in my '19 and '21 X3, and in my '22 45e. I believe the manual says default is 72°.

I purchased this just to see what it was about. There are 3 options for when the car unlocks for the headlights to flash/blink in a set succession. The taillights do not change. I was underwhelmed by it but hey, I have spent more money on worse! Of the 3, I settled on the middle selection.

As an aside, I saw a commercial last night about a lady standing at the front of her car trying to decide which headlight options she liked while her son was changing them inside the car. I didn't pay attention to the make/model but it made me laugh since I was trying to figure this out by myself ha!!

iDrive7 11/2023.50 finally installed today. My charging in timeslot + heated seat+wheel below 10C didn't work initially, but I changed it and changed it back and things are OK now.

From what my service manager told me, they don't tell them all of what is changed. If they have a problem, they contact headquarters, and they'll tell them if a s/w update will resolve the problem. Over time, a good service manager should get a better idea.

Yeah I saw that, I was looking more for something that was posted before. "Programming_ Changes with 23-07 I level update that are perceptible to the customer" that one had a lot more information which market was affected and what changed.
