You have a point, if you're waiting for a charge to finish, you might just be doing something similar on your phone anyhow.

I was picturing people doing this waiting for a streetlight to turn green. I swear if it happened I'd have to go smack that person even if they were 2x my size and in a bad neighborhood.

I highly doubt that they will allow this to work unless you're parked. As someone mentioned, coders can probably find away around it like they've done with DVD watching.

They are focusing on what matters. When thousands of people who are actively shopping for cars ask for something, you work on implementing it. Agreed, except for the comparison to Tesla charging times. Having spent time driving around MD, DE, PA, NJ, and NY in electric BMWs and Teslas, there isn't a big difference in charging times. They're honestly very close, and non-Tesla DC chargers are spaced plenty good enough. In my experience, the Electrify America locations are probably 85-90% reliable when it comes to being functional vs broken AND with supplying reliable charging speeds.

Good thing EV is being forced on a world that has no infrastructure and won't be able to sustain the power draw. Oh, you want to take a road trip? Better plan an extra 2-4 hours to sit on your ass. Want to replace/repair that battery down the road? 1/3 the cost of the new car, please.

Its all politically driven BS from people who have no idea of the cost to mine, manufacture, and dispose. Not the mention the ridiculous inefficiencies of the global network and the required NEW power stations we'll need (solar power and unicorn farts don't work).

Yea, you're right. If you don't have a Tesla, charging is a complete disaster. Maybe it's different somewhere like in California. But in the Northeast US. It's more common than not that stations are broken, as slow as 110v or is incredibly shady areas.

And yea the whole green push is a weird thing. There are def pros and cons. But look at what's happening with gas. An announcement from opec that they are lowering production goals(which they aren't even coming close to) is an excuse to increase gas prices. Even though it has no impact at all on gas. And on top of that oil prices are super and lowering over the past week. But yet, gas prices are shooting up again.

Either way, this is a solution to EV cars waiting and it doesnt harm anything.

Well said--and diplomatically put. But here in the UK, we're already in a situation where the cost to recharge an EV matches the price to refuel. And a winter beckons laced with electricity outrages and potential rationing. Yes, this situation won't last forever; but it does make one wonder, surely, about governments railroading the car industry into the monodirectional embrace of an incremental 'solution' to climate change that is actually far from ecologically impeccable and is currently infrastructurally untenable.

Still, back to gaming--I always wondered why ID8 had to be so histrionically big and why it so earnestly tried to copy the screen you've just left in the office.
