That happened to me too on the day I got the VIN. I was able to put it into the app the next day.

Keep in mind the tracking on the app is usually way behind the MyGarage page.

Just received my VIN today for my X6 40i. I have a production date of 5/16

Alright week 20 folks, we are getting closer to our production date. Hoping we can drive our M60i for Memorial Weekend and break it in. Please keep everyone posted if anything changes with your production date.

My production day is 5/14 as well on my m60i. Can't come soon enough. I am in Charlotte, so it shouldn't take too long to get here when it is completed. I have a trip to Charleston scheduled or 5/29, so I hope it makes it to me before then.

X5 xdrive 40i. Production date: 5/16, got Vin on 5/2.

Technically, isn’t production date the final date it would be completed by? Based on historical info, would that get moved up a few days or is the production date pretty legit?

There is a thread about this but no one was clear about the production date of what does it stand for. I know it says production date but does that mean it will be produce that date and finalized?

From what I've been reading on other threads.. Production is same day. So whatever your day is, it should be the day the car is finished.

I have never seen anyone not be clear about it. The production date is the date the vehicle will completed. Given it takes about four hours to build that is usually also the day it is started.

There is a very good chance it will be moved up. It all depends on how the assembly is going and if the slack in it can be used to accelerate production. You need to keep in mind that the production date refers to when it will be coming off the assembly line. Since time in QC can vary they obviously can't predict that.
