2021 M50i owner's manual?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Is there a way I can read the PDF of my owner's manual(s) before my car's finished production? I'd like to read it before the car arrives. I can't get it from BMW online while it's only in production. (I was able read my 2014's before it came in) Thx

I was able to download the PDF manual for my X5 the next day after the car was finished (using the VIN). Not earlier.

If your own VIN does not work (yet), feel free to use a VIN of a similarly equipped car you find listed online.

Sorry for bumping a slightly, slightly older thread.

I just obtained a 2021 x5 m50i for my wife. Long story short, we were told during the delivery process that we were not receiving an actual hard copy of the owner's manual because "it's stored in the car."

Is that accurate/correct or is wool being pulled over our eyes? There's not even a simplified/brief version in the glove box.

If that's the case then it's one more thing BMW is doing away with in the 2021 model year.

I ordered a 2020 X7 and it came with a full manual in the glove box.

I got a printed manual with my 2021 X5 (and was a little surprised).

Thank you to everyone!

Please excuse this ignorant response... but what do I need to say? I'd like to think that they are not hiding it. The car was on the showroom floor, so maybe it grew legs.

By printed, you all do mean an actual full manual in say the black (BMW) folder/envelop?

This was my stash of G05 manuals, guides and warranty books at delivery.

How about they lost it and were too lazy to replace it, thinking there might be a chance you fall for their flimsy excuse?

Sorry for the late reply...ours came with the manual etc. It's more compact than the one in my 2014. I downloaded the PDF ahead of time to read up on it

I'd demand one...we paid a lot of $$ for these cars!

Omitting a printed copy may come some day, but at least as of September when I got mine, a printed copy was included. As a 'repair' part, BMW seems to charge a lot of money, so if the one for your vehicle was lost or stolen somehow, it sounds like they are trying to avoid the expense of buying one from BMW.

Now, whether you 'need' one, that may be harder to decide. Some prefer to use a screen as it can be easier to search. Seems like some people have forgotten with tables of contents and indexes are for, but some like to sit and actually read a book (it's pretty thick for the X5!).
