hatless downpipes

Can anyone tell me about their experience with this mod -
Have a 2022 x5 m50
I dont really know anything about this so this may sound silly but what does the downpipes actually do ? Are they removing the catalytic converter (ie. catless) ?
What does this do to fuel performance if anything?
How does it affect sound ? what note/tone changes ?
Do I need to pair it with a res delete ? advantage/disadvantage of not deleting ?

Removes the cats to allow unobstructed flow.
Not sure about MPG.
Obnoxiously loud
The rear cats if not removed will likely fail sooner b/c they are doing the job of both.
Need to retune car b/c not designed for it
Need to code out O2 sensors.
Will fail emissions.
